Keyword Research:
Keyword research is an integral part of any optimization strategy. Keywords play a heavy importance in a variety of optimization techniques such as the best keywords to target in your websites content, title tags, URL’s and even link building strategies. If you don’t know which keywords are the best to target, or you are targeting the incorrect keywords, you are missing out on a large amount of traffic.
The mistake I see most often in keyword optimization strategies are targeting terms which have a high amount of competition, that you do not have the correct optimization strategy in place to rank for, or targeting keywords which your potential customers aren’t actually using. Customers can use a variety of search terms that you haven’t considered putting in place.
Unlike many keyword research services, my services are vastly unique in that I do not provide you with an automatically generated excel spreadsheet of hard to understand data. My research is all hands on and I thoroughly review your site for the best terms to target. Many services will provide you keyword research on a per-page basis. This is not an optimal strategy as your whole site should be taken into account when developing keywords.
Additionally, I not only provide you with a wealth of search data about each keyword, I also provide you with my recommendations on the best keywords to target and why, and the best ways in which you can use this keyword in your optimization strategy.
Another thing that separates my services from others, is that I will also include terms that you shouldn’t optimize for and explain why. I feel this is an important piece of information that is missing from many keyword research reports. If this is not included, then you are left to wonder “Why didn’t she suggest this term?” This way, you know my research was thorough, and I help prevent you from choosing additional keywords which may not be the best words or phrases to target.
All Keyword Research Packages Include:
- Information on the keywords your site is targeting (these may be different than the keywords you are trying to target)
- Information on the keywords you are, or wish to target ( you provide me with a list of the keywords you are currently optimizing or want to optimize for and I review the list and offer advice and suggestions
- As well as detailed research into what terms your customers are using and specific suggestions I recommend targeting. This includes general keywords, brand keywords and long tail keyword suggestions.
- Assist you with understanding why I make the suggestions I do, and why these keywords are recommended
- Recommendations on your keyword strategy and tips on applying these keywords.
These packages include search volume analysis, competitor analysis and website analysis to target the optimal keywords. All keywords include search volume for both broad and exact match terms, the competition level of each keyword, the search trends for each keyword, as well as a keyword difficulty score based on the level of competitiveness, how well competitors sites are optimized for those terms, search volume and a number of other things.
- Note, many sites keyword research services center around a central product or service. If your site is selling multiple types of products or services, and you want to receive data on each of these, I will even out the keywords so you get the same amount for each product or service. If you want a large amount of keywords for each term, then I suggest going with a keyword package that provides a higher number of keywords – or contacting me directly for a quote.
