Theme Installation:
Install theme of your choice – note, you must purchase the theme yourself.
Robots.txt setup:
A robots.txt file provides search engines instructions on which parts of your site they should not access, as well as pointing them to your sitemap. This prevents areas such as your login page from being indexed, and allows for better indexation.
Permalink Structure
Configure WordPress’ permalink structure so it is optimized for SEO. These are permanent URLs to your posts and pages so they do not change as you update or change content.
Canonical URL Set-up
This sets up your preferred URL, so it will always be displayed as www or a non www depending on your preference. This is highly recommended for search engine optimization.
XML sitemap setup
This is a sitemap (or document outlining your url structure and hierarchy) coded specifically for search engines. This helps them crawl your site and index your pages faster.
Additional security:
Will implement additional security features to prevent people from using bad queries to access sensitive parts of your website.
Htaccess setup
This is my customized htaccess setup which will be coded to reinforce your canonical URLs, helps to protect your site from unauthorized access, protects your private data from public access such as server signature, password and logins, disables directory browsing.
Caching setup to speed up website:
Using WordPress Super Cache, this setup will allow you to serve stored pages to users instead of heavier scripts. This will speed up the load time of your pages, as well as help your server by decreasing bandwith consumption.
Automated database optimization and backups
This uses WP-DBManager. This allows you to quickly and easily optimize and repair databases as well as backup and restore databases. This speeds up your site as well as protecting it in the event of loss of data.
Comment spam protection
Through the set-up of Akismet, your site will be protected from comments commonly marked as spam and checked against their spam database.
Customized email
This allows you to have a personalized, business e-mail address, an example would be you@yourdomain.com
Gmail Integration
GMail can be used to receive mail from your server that goes to your business e-mail address. It can also be set-up to send e-mail directly from Gmail using your business e-mail. With this setup you never have to worry about logging into your server to send and receive mail.
Webmaster tools
Webmaster tools are provided by search engines directly, allowing you to set various SEO preferences, as well as point them to your sitemap and robots.txt files.
Sitemap submission
Once your webmaster tools account is setup, your sitemap will need to be submitted so they can begin crawling and reviewing your website.

Google Analytics is a free service that allows you to see how many visitors have found your site, what keywords they used to find your site, what sites referred them, and much more. To use this service, you must integrate their analytics code into the HTML of your website.
Disqus Setup
Disqus is a free commenting system that integrates with just about any website. This enables users to leave comments more easily because they can log in with thier openID, TwitterID or Facebook (if you want the facebook login you will need to obtain the API key from your facebook account)
Contact form installation and setup
This will provide your users with a quick way to send you messages. These will be delivered directly to your e-mail. The form can be customized with the fields you wish, and also has built in spam protection as well as an image verification.
Favicon:
A favicon is the small logo that appears in the address bar beside a URL. This also appears in your bookmarks next to the sites name. While this doesn’t serve any SEO purposes, it is good marketing practice allowing users to easily remember and identify your site.
Social Bookmarking Buttons
Social bookmarking is necessary to attract more visitors to your site. The button integration allows you to place images with code that will make it easier for your visitors to quickly bookmark and share your site with others. Your buttons will look like the ones below my posts and be in the same location. You can customize these with your social bookmark preferences if you wish.
Social Networking buttons:
Social networking allows you to develop relationships with other people in your industry as well as your readers. This is highly recommended online marketing strategy that most sites should take advantage of. Social networking buttons will make it easier for your visitors to connect with you across a variety of platforms such as Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
Create Twitter account:
If you are new to social networking, and don’t yet have a twitter account, I will set one up as well as provide you with some an e-book on detailing how to get started on twitter as well as tips and tricks.
Setup blog to tweet posts
This will integrate your blog with your twitter account, so you automatically tweet and share posts you create.
Create a Bit.ly account:
Bit.ly is a free URL shortener, allowing you to type more per tweet. You can integrate this with WordPress so it is used whenever you post a link. You can also go to Bit.ly directly to track how many users visited your shortened links.
Setup blog for feeds
When someone signs up to receive your feed, they receive either an excerpt of your post, or a full post (depending on your preferences) through e-mail or their feed reader. This allows you to keep your readers up to date with your news and posts.
Custom 404 error creation:
Users will receive a 404 error page if they access a URL on your site that doesn’t have content on it. Some themes do not come with a custom 404 page. This service will ensure that customers receive proper documentation regarding the error.
Integration of Aweber newsletter sign-up form:
If you are not already using e-mail marketing and newsletters, you will want to start. This is a proven online marketing strategy helping to increase visitor loyalty and revenue by sending them news and information about your products or services. This service will require you to sign up for Aweber, which is not free, but affordable and worth the cost. If you would like to integrate this service and have signed up for Aweber, I can include a small form on your site allowing visitors to quickly subscribe to your newsletter.
I will also provide you with a document introducing you to Aweber and detailing how to create a newsletter.
Goal Discussion:
I will talk to you via e-mail or chat regarding your specific goals for your website and help you formulate a recommended website structure.
Keyword Research:
Your customers may not be searching for you by the words and phrases you think they are – they may also be searching for you through keywords you haven’t considered. This will provide you with some recommended keywords to target and optimize your site around.
SEO Site Title:
Don’t make the mistake of setting up any title (this is the description that displays at the very top of your browser window, above the URL) An site title optimized with your keywords will perform better in search engines as well as attract more targeted visitors.
