How to force extra line breaks in Wordress

I don’t know about you, but I had the hardest time figuring out insert extra line breaks in WordPress.  Adding extra lines within the visual editor just gets ignored, and attempting to add <br> or <p> tags within the HTML editor doesn’t get recognized.

Here is the work around I found for anyone else experiencing this problem:

Add <br class=”blank”> where you would like the line break to appear.

Hope that helps, I know it relieved a lot of frustration for me!

No way! I was going nuts this morning on my latest blog article. I had started out with what I thought were the right line breaks. Until I previewed it. Ugh! I tried sixteen ways to Sunday.

    Thanks for this tip Rebekah!

Thank you! Like so many others I tried a million solutions. So many just kept saying go to the HTML tab. What they don’t tell you is that none of the standard HTML tags work!
    Thank you again!
